Mayor
Gee Fred Robinson puts political corruption with his Bowie Blade News cronies on public display!
On the afternoon
of September 22, 2006 at Freestate Mall, I shouted to Gee Fred Robinson that "he should go to jail" referring to the City's
collusion and racketeering scheme with the Bowie Blade News and Greater Bowie Chamber of Commerce blocking my mayoral bid
in 2005 so Robinson would not be challenged for Mayor.
Fred Robinson and David Deutsch retaliated by having me detained
by the City contracted police - although I have had no history of violence or any police record. Robinson and Deutsch's politically
motivated retaliation was a failed attempt to silence me in my hometown of 47 years.
To date, I have not been charged
with any crime!
Oh, there is of course the trashy/filthy Robinson for Council campaign signs that I found posted illegally
on city property that I returned to Gee Fred on Audubon Lane.
I allege Robinson and Deutsch's failed attempt to intimidate
and silence me on September 22, 2006 for "whistleblowing" about their Blade News corruption schemes is a violation of Federal
RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations) laws which protect individuals from retaliation for exposing corruption
of local public officials.
Now, Robinson confirms my allegations by flaunting his "special relationship" with our
local newspaper when he named Blade News cronies John Rouse "the louse" and Gerard Devlin as his representatives on the so
called Bowie Election Commission.
The City of Bowie is served by two local newspapers. The Robinson/Deutsch racketeering
scheme is simple - divert most if not all City advertising money to the Blade News in exchange for favorable free publicity
such as "The Mayor's View" column, the State of the City Address right before city elections and, of course, political endorsements
for Robinson.
The money is easy to trace, and connecting of the dots with Robinson/Deutsch's cronies are even easier!
Robinson
and Deusch - if they had any honor and integrity -should fall on their swords so to speak.
Lets remember the declared
right in Maryland - Article 34. That a long continuance in the Executive Departments of power or trust is dangerous to liberty;
a rotation, therefore, in those departments is one of the best securities of permanent freedom (amended by Chapter 681, Acts
of 1977, ratified Nov. 7, 1978).
David Deutsch has been City manager since 1993 - a very long duration and we have
seen him interfere with our city elections in recent years - an offense that The Code of Bowie states are grounds for his
dismissal.
Let's enforce the Code of Bowie on City Manager Deutsch. It is way past time for a new City Manager in
Bowie!
Welcome to The Bowie City Activist website www.bowiewatch.org.
SUBTLE RACISM IS ALIVE AND WELL IN BOWIE!
All over this great country, Americans are honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King this weekend to mark the
40th anniversary of his assassination. Dr. King was visionary. I will remind people of the blog entry, "What would Dr. Martin
Luther King think of Mayor Gee Fred Robinson?", on the January 25, 2008 Bowie City Activist webpage - look for the webpage
in the drop down box. Dr. King wrestled with the "Might Makes Right" arrogance of the Fred Robinsons of his era. Here
in the City of Bowie, Councilman Todd Turner is honoring Dr. King's legacy along with several civic groups at Acorn City Park,
not far from the civil rights demonstrations on Sussex Lane that I remember as a boy in the early 1960s. Racism today
in the City of Bowie is much more subtle. The Blade News cronies of Mayor Gee Fred Flintstone, while paying lip service to
racial equality, did much to put up roadblocks against African American advancement in the City's political system. Currently,
on the Bowie Election Commission, Fred Robinson has put his corruption schemes on public display by naming Blade News cronies
Gerard Devlin and Rouse "the louse" as two of his three representatives on the commission. It was Gerard "let the murderers
out and the illegals in" Devlin who helped enact the scheme altering our city elections to further Robinson's incumbency and
delaying African American advancement in the city's political system. Again, racism in Bowie is very subtle. In the
City administration, racism is institutionalized by an unelected City manager who has remained in office since 1993 although
our State Constitution states that a long duration in the executive branch is dangerous to liberty. Let me suggest that David
Deutsch's long duration as the unelected head of Bowie City government is dangerous to the liberties of African Americans
who are being denied the top jobs in Bowie City government. Racism is more subtle in Bowie today. In 2006, we watched
Fred Robinson's Blade News cronies Devlin and Rouse the Louse mis-use the pages of Capital Gazette's newspaper to actively
campaign for Robinson for County Council even though African American Ingrid Turner was the more qualified candidate. Again,
racism is much more subtle in Bowie today. We can honor Dr. King's legacy by voting out the last of the two remaining
pre-NAACP city council incumbents Gee Fred Flintstone and Dennis Brady. They got their unfair political advantage in an election
system that could not withstand an NAACP lawsuit threat. We can honor Dr. King's legacy by invoking Article 34 of
our state constitution and demand a new City Manager to open up new opportunities for African Americans in Bowie City government.
Again, racism in the Bowie City government has been institutionalized. We can honor Dr. King's legacy by asking
the Federal Department of Justice to perform a criminal probe into the actions of Gee Fred Flintstone and his Blade News cronies
in recent city elections - particularly the 2005 City election in which Robinson ran unopposed because of the collusion between
the City, Blade News and Greater Bowie Chamber of Commerce that I uncovered and decided not to challenge Robinson in 2005.
Deutsch, a Chamber of Commerce member, should resign NOW! Let's be thankful that Dr. King stood up for all us against
the corrupt "Might makes right" Gee Fred Flintstones of this world. Thanks! Richard www.bowiewatch.org 1961
